Is that a bad thing?
Not necessarily, but I wouldn't say it's a good thing either.
Playing it safe is something we all do, all of the time and I feel it is a state of mind that is baked into the youth of today such as myself. Sure, it'll stop me from killing myself but it will probably also stop me from taking smaller risks such as.... wait.
Surely dossing around is much riskier than doing something productive. SO WHY DON'T I DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE?! I don't know. I'll do something productive now.

Changed video format, it's a bit darker but it's higher quality and more modern, doubles the file size though.. eeehfhguhf.

Philosophy.
"Nice guys finish last" - A perpetual truth, I feel.
It's because people aren't looking at you all of the time, and to be a 'nice guy' is aiming to please others, and perhaps your own conscience.
Both tragedies and great deeds go ignored by everyone, all of the time, so if you aim to gain the upper hand regardless of the consequences you're more likely to succeed because you might just go unnoticed. On the other hand you might cross someone like me and get a brick(in a sock) across the face. Just sayin'.
Conscience is a burden, throw that shit away!

Rebooting my shit.
Alright, alright. I've been slacking off making vids.
This is mostly due to other shit, and by other shit I mean copious amounts of certain MMOs and biology lectures. I love to multi task.
Anyway, I should get up and about doing other things now, LPBS 19 is coming out but it's crappy cause I recorded it with the wrong settings and it was way too long so it had to be sped up.
NEVER MIND.

Big Daddies fuck my mind. As Ronnie would say, I need a condom for my head.
So anyway, I'm getting used to making regular vids, the Bioshock ball is rolling and I'm thinking seriously about my next project. Two games spring to mind, Magicka and World of Warcraft. Also, indie games any time i get bored and want to upload small vids. WoW is likely to become one of my major vids, as I feel I know enough about the game to make some decent quality shiz. Magicka is likely to be played with other people, namely Teddi. Might have to get some Portal 2 vidz out there too.
WHO KNOWS.
All of these ideas are attacking me at once, I don't want to make THAT many videos before I have a decent amount of viewers / subs - I know if I find a channel with much of a backlog it just puts me off.

Making videos is hard!
So I got my new microphone and used it first in my new video at:

Though I feel that I'm still not happy with audio quality. I feel I get too much reverb and bass, but I have yet to learn how to adjust that, I might have to change my setup somehow so my bare walls do not create echo.. idk.
Been trying to get a Beat Hazard Ultra vid up, but it's being difficult.

It's Here!
So today my new mic arrived, and it seems pretty good.
Apart from the stand I bought, it doesnt fit.
FOOK.
The stand that came with the mic seems alright though. It'll do for now at least.
Getting used to talking into a condenser mic while wearing headphones is an interesting experience, I feel like I'm in a studio!
Playing a lot of warcraft 3 at the moment, but I should be able to at least get a small bioshock vid up today.

Yay, first vid is up. The mic quality is a little choppy but I'll work on that when I have some money to invest in a new one.
Getting used to editing videos is pretty good, quick editing out of my sighs and overly inappropriate comments can be nipped out.

I am not le dead!
Contrary to popular belief, after obtaining my motorbike I did not go out in a blaze of glory.
No, no. The good die young. I'm no good.
HOWEVER!
I did make a breakthrough, I started a Bioshock Let's Play at the ripe old time of 2 AM in the morning. It's rendering as I type.
Delicious mockery awaits me as I upload this to youtube tonight, I'm sure.

Detour, horse ahead.
I could be dead right now.
Ok so I'm putting my youtube on hold for a tad, and learning to ride a motorcycle instead so I don't need a taxi all the time.
I had my CBT today, and it didn't go great but at least I'm alive. The instructor was called 'Uncle Giles', the perfect start to the day. What was even more perfect is that I had no food or water since the night before, and bearing in mind the CBT ran until 4:30 PM I was quite frazzled, thirsty and hungry by the time the day was over.
Due to this I became increasingly frustrated with my instructor, and as I was probably zoned out while he explained pulling off and changing gears in a 'stately' manner, I was crap at both of those. Oh well.
He also didn't prepare me for the prospect of horses on the road. That's right, horses. I'll go through the scenario with you.
(I am riding along a country road, with my instructor behind giving me instructions in my ear)
Giles: Horse up ahead, give it a wide berth!
Me: Ok.
(Giles can't hear me, it's only a one way earpiece)
*Gives horse a wide berth*
The horse then puts its trollface on, and effectively blocks the road all of the way across until the oncoming traffic lane's curb.
Me: I had a nice life.
Then I zoom past within about a metre of space, thanking my lucky stars.
Giles: Oh shit, I didn't brief you on horses did I?

Get a real job!
Hey Blogspot,
Today is the day I finally begin my youtube project while listening to Scars on Broadway and reading Andy's advice on how to achieve fame and fortune on the internets. He certainly knows his tubes.
Today I have set up Bricksock@gmail.com, Brickinasock@twitter and of course Brickinasock@blogspot. Time to annoy people with them.
My first video series will be on an indie game named 'Eets: Hunger, It's emotional' by Klei Entertainment, It'll be a series of guide videos. Short 1-2 min vids.
Need to order an SSD, Caviar green 2TB and GTX 480 - expensive stuff. Also need to make sure they fit in my computer case. Gotta have the hardware to cap more intense games later.
